Guerneville Biking Weekend, October 14-16, 2011
cyclists enjoyed yet another fabulous time on our annual Guerneville
Biking Weekend, thanks to the superior organizing skills of Trish
Hewison. We stayed at the Ferngrove Cottages, nestled in a grove of
lush greenery. The weekend started on Friday with a short but hilly
ride, followed by the obligatory happy hour and dinner. On
Saturday, after being served a lovely breakfast that included fresh
homemade scones (the proprietor is British), we broke into two
riding groups, one going to Healdsburg and one going to the coast
via Coleman Valley Rd. After we all returned, we had happy hour and
then a full-course dinner of grilled salmon and all the fixin's.
After a short ride on Sunday, we all dispersed to our respective
corners of the world, anticipating the next big biking weekend.
